                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE EASTERN
                   ALLEY ONLY, LOCATED NORTHEAST FROM WILDER
                   STREET, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE DRIVE AND NORTH
                   HICKORY STREET,  MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN, UPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned the eastern alley only, located northeast from
         Wilder Street, between Riverside Drive and North Hickory 
Street,
         more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat 
attached
         hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
               
                A 20 foot wide unopened alleyway beginning on the
                northeast line of Wilder Street 140 feet northwest
                of the intersection of the northeast line of Wilder
                Street with the northwest line of North Hickory
                Street, and extending northeast 415 feet (400 feet
                on Tax Map) between parallel lines, and parallel to
                North Hickory Street, to the southwest line of
                Elmendorf Street.  Said alleyway separates lots
                1-16, block 47, from lots 17-32, block 47, East
                Chattanooga Middle Section, as shown by plat of
                record in plat book 3, age 21, ROHC, and the
                southwest 15 feet of Elmendorf Street (abandoned by
                deed book 797, page 15, ROHC) which adjoins said
                lot 16, from the southwest 15 feet of said
                abandoned Elmendorf Street which adjoins said lot
                17.  Tax Map No. 127M-H-1-7 and 14-19.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this closure
         and abandonment is made subject to the following conditions:
                1. Resubdivision of lots.
               
                2. The areas reserved for utility easements must be
                   kept free and clear of all structures.
               
                3. All existing easements are retained.
               
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
